Support for Chamber Music Corvallis
Did you know that . . .
about half of the support of the chamber series comes from donations and
grant support? Yet our operating expenses (mailing, supplies, national
music organization memberships, etc. ) are minimal. About 85% of our entire
budget goes directly to pay the artists, rent the auditorium, and print
programs. The balance goes toward promoting concerts and music education
at local schools (e.g., performances and instruction by visiting chamber
groups). We have no paid staff.
Among the services that CMC has provided, which were made possible by a
combination of ticket sales, individual and local business donations, and
grant support:
- Planning, promoting, and presenting chamber music concerts (typically
six per season)
- Subsidizing concert ticket prices for school and university students
- Sponsoring the performance by some invited chamber ensembles at area
elementary and high schools
- Sponsoring masters classes by visiting chamber ensembles for high
school musicians
CMC is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization. This means that your donations
may be declared on your tax filings.
